This one felt extra special for us. We’ve been photographing this couple for the past six years, and somewhere along the way, they became more than just clients. They became friends. Their wedding at the historic Palm Lodge in Miami was intimate, personal, and completely them. They got ready together, shared a beautiful religious ceremony centered around their faith, and celebrated afterward with their closest family and friends. With a “That’s Amore” theme, red roses, gourmet pizza, incredible desserts, and a packed dance floor, the whole day felt romantic, warm, and full of personality.

Some wedding days feel a little more personal for us, and this was definitely one of them.
We’ve had the privilege of photographing this couple for the past six years, documenting different seasons of their lives and getting to know them far beyond just what happens in front of our cameras. Over time, they became friends, which made getting to photograph their wedding day feel even more meaningful.
They chose the historic Palm Lodge in Miami, Florida for their celebration, a setting that perfectly matched the intimate and romantic feel they wanted for the day.
Instead of following the usual wedding-day traditions, they got ready together. It was relaxed, personal, and such a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple. There was no big reveal or carefully staged moment. They simply spent the beginning of their wedding day side by side.
Their ceremony was deeply rooted in their faith, with religious traditions woven throughout the celebration in a way that felt genuine and important to them. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows and officially began the next chapter of a story we’ve been lucky enough to witness for years.
And then came the party.
Their “That’s Amore” wedding theme brought the whole reception together with rich red roses, romantic details, gourmet pizza, and a dessert spread that was almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
The evening quickly turned into exactly what a wedding reception should feel like: good food, loud music, full glasses, people laughing, and a dance floor packed with the people they love most.
What we loved most about this Historic Palm Lodge wedding was how much it felt like them. It wasn’t about checking boxes or doing things because they were “supposed” to happen at a wedding. They got ready together because they wanted to. Their ceremony reflected their faith. Their reception was filled with the food, people, music, and atmosphere they genuinely love.
And after photographing them for six years, getting to document this chapter felt less like photographing another wedding and more like watching two friends finally have the day we knew was coming.
